TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A former Pima County Sheriff’s Department chief deputy who is accused of misusing funds seized under an anti-racketeering law will be changing his plea.
The Arizona Daily Star reported Tuesday (https://bit.ly/2kOEhNU ) that Christopher Radtke will enter his change of plea and be sentenced Friday. He was indicted last September on one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering and six counts of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds.
Radtke resigned as chief deputy in October after his indictment on charges of embezzling at least $500,000 of forfeiture money from the department between 2011 and 2016.
Sean Chapman, Radtke’s attorney, could not be reached for comment.
