NORCROSS, Ga. (AP) - Police outside Atlanta have identified the suspect who they believe fatally shot a man at a gas station last week.
Gwinnett County police told news outlets Tuesday that several tips from the community have helped identify the suspected shooter as 19-year-old Nickolas Young.
Young, who is still on the loose, has been charged with murder and aggravated assault in the Friday night shooting death of 34-year-old Vitali Mialik, of Suwannee, outside a Norcross gas station.
Authorities say Young and one other unidentified suspect got into an argument with Mialik in the parking lot, prompting Young to grab a rifle from his vehicle and shoot Mialik.
Police say the two suspects then fled the scene in a white or silver SUV. The other suspect is described as being between 18 and 25 years old.
