FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a man who fired a shotgun several times at police officers in Fountain Inn has given up peacefully after a 30-minute standoff.
Greenville County deputies told media outlets no officers were injured in the shooting or the standoff Thursday afternoon at the Quail Hill Townhouses.
Authorities have not said why Fountain Inn officers were at the apartment.
Deputies say the man yelled at police from the second floor of the apartment building for several minutes before giving himself up to SWAT officers who surrounded the complex.
His name has not been released.
