NYPD: 18-year-old dies in shooting in Bronx, 2nd man wounded

NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a shooting in the Bronx has left one person dead and another injured.

The New York Police Department says a person leapt out from behind a car and shot an 18-year-old and a 24-year-old standing near a family shelter around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The teen was shot in the head. The 24-year-old was struck in the buttocks. Police say both were taken to Lincoln Medical Center where the teen later died. Police haven’t released the identities of the two victims.

No arrests have been reported. The investigation is continuing.
