PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) - Police in Portsmouth say detectives are investigating two deaths that occurred during the past month and are believed to be drug-related.

Sgt. John Peracchi tells The Portsmouth Herald (https://bit.ly/2kKL6xv ) the first death, 32-year-old Patrick Swain, of Portsmouth, occurred Jan. 16 at an apartment building. Swain’s death remains under investigation.

Peracchi says the death of 31-year-old Joshua Bowman, of Rochester, is also being investigated. Bowman was found in cardiac arrest on a bus on Feb. 3. He was revived by firefighters and hospitalized. He died Monday.

Peracchi says Bowman’s death “may be opiate related.”
