BESSEMER, Ala. (AP) - Police are investigating after an Alabaster man was found shot to death.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office tells local media that the body of 21-year-old Julian Garcia was found Sunday in a wrecked car in Bessemer. A police officer was en route to another call when he came across two wrecked vehicles.
Garcia, suffering from a gunshot wound, was found in one of those vehicles. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead around 4:30 a.m.
Bessemer Police Sgt. Cortice Miles says officers found multiple shell casings in the parking lot of a nearby bar, and detectives are trying to determine if the shooting happened there.
There are no suspects in custody.
