BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Court records show a third person has been charged with murder in the death of a 67-year-old man found strangled in a Birmingham hotel room.
Jefferson County Jail shows that 40-year-old Shannon Hester was charged in the Dec. 1 slaying of Woody Dewey Woodard whose body was found in the Holiday Inn. Hester is being held at the jail on a $150,000 after being arrested Jan. 5.
Al.com (https://bit.ly/2i9mkZO ) reports that 33-year-old Natasha Michelle Kendrick and 43-year-old Bartholemew Shaid Williams were also charged with murder. Authorities say Woodard was supposed to check out of the hotel on the day of his death, but when he didn’t, management went to his room and found him dead.
The coroner’s office ruled the death as a homicide. Court records state Woodard was strangled.
