TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A second man is facing a life prison sentence in the 2013 murder of a homeless man in Tucson.

Pima County prosecutors say John Agee and Shane Blevins lured 34-year-old Owen McNutt into a wash in November 2013.

They say Agee attacked McNutt with a machete and then used a 36-pound rock to smash the victim’s head.

Prosecutors say Agee and Blevins wrapped the body in a tarp and hid it in a drainage tunnel.

It was recovered more than a mile away after rain washed it out of the tunnel.

Agee was convicted of first-degree murder last Friday. He’s scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 7.

Prosecutors say Blevins pleaded guilty to a murder charge and received a life sentence with a possibility for parole after 25 years.
