PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man in his 20s who beat up a 60-year-old female deli employee over the price of a sandwich in southwest Philadelphia.

Surveillance video released by police on Wednesday shows the Jan. 4 assault at the Daylight Deli.

Police say the assailant argued with the clerk about the price of a sandwich before either he or his friend squirted her with liquid from a bottle through an opening in the deli’s glass security window.

The suspect pushed the woman to the ground and started repeatedly punching her when she came out to confront the men.
