Rookie Winnipeg Jets forward Patrik Laine has lit the NHL on fire with 21 goals midway through his first year, and he’s starting to build quite a fan base.
Eight-year-old Lucas Bydak really wanted Laine to attend his birthday party, penning this letter:

The Jets had to take on the Buffalo Sabres on Jan. 7, the day of the party, but Laine still managed to surprise young Lucas with a visit, decking him out with a signed jersey and photo and some Finnish chocolates. The whole visit was documented by Lucas’s uncle. Take a look:
