WILLINGBORO, N.J. (AP) - A man found shot outside a Burlington County home has died from his wounds.

But authorities say a motive for the shooting on Placid Lane in Willingboro remains under investigation.

Burlington County prosecutors say police responded to the scene just after 11 p.m. Sunday and found 22-year-old Nacim Byrd, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead there a short time later.

Byrd lived on the street where the shooting occurred, but it’s not clear if he lived at the home where he was found. Authorities declined comment on the matter, citing the ongoing investigation.

A cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy was planned for Monday.

No arrests have been made.
