PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) - A woman has been accused of pointing a loaded shotgun at a man walking his dog past her home in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

The Portsmouth Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2iKsCOv) police say the man called them Monday to say the woman came off her porch and confronted him about knocking on her door. He said he didn’t knock. She pointed the shotgun at him, chambered a round and said she would “take care” of whoever was banging on her door.

The woman, identified as 30-year-old Nicole Matusewic, denied pointing the gun at him. She was charged with criminal threatening and reckless conduct. She was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled for arraignment on Feb. 21. It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer; a phone number couldn’t be found for her.

Police say Matusewic’s roommate owns the gun.
