MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Two Loris men are facing charges in a shooting death at motel in Myrtle Beach.

Local news outlets report that police say 22-year-old Larry Tranell Carter and 19-year-old Malik Crawford have been arrested on murder, weapon, kidnapping and armed robbery charges in the death of 33-year-old Rashad Lamar Atkins.

The two suspects are accused of kidnapping, robbing and shooting Atkins inside an apartment at the Lazy G Motel on Jan. 12. Police found Atkins wounded and he was taken to a hospital where he died.

Carter has also been charged with attempted murder and possessing a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in connection with another shooting that occurred on Christmas Eve at the Third Ave Sports Bar and Grill.

It’s unclear if Carter and Crawford have attorneys.
