LYNN, Mass. (AP) - A Lynn man is headed to prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in connection with a fatal shooting more than three years ago.
The Daily Item reports (https://bit.ly/2js27vT ) 21-year-old Jacquan McKenzie also pleaded guilty Wednesday in Salem Superior Court to firearms and assault charges. He was sentenced to 12 to 15 years behind bars, followed by five years of probation.
Authorities say McKenzie admitted to shooting 29-year-old Hery Aquino at a housing project in January 2014. Responding officers found Aquino with a gunshot wound to the head. He died at a Boston hospital.
