BRIDGETON, N.J. (AP) - Jurors in Cumberland County have convicted a man for his role the slayings of two men believed to be his competitors in operating brothels.

The panel on Wednesday found 42-year-old Juan Hernandez of New Brunswick guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and promoting organized street crime.

The charges stem from the shooting death of Jose Ortiz and the stabbing death of Eduardo Bernal in 2014 in Bridgeton. Hernandez was investigated for operating brothels in the city.

Hernandez will face at least 75 years in prison when he’s sentenced in April.
