PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - Authorities say a woman’s body that was found near Petersburg is connected to the abduction of a man forced to drive to bank at gunpoint. Police would not say of the body is that of the abducted man’s 76-year-old wife, who went missing.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that Chesterfield police Capt. Michael Louth would not say Thursday if the body was that of Minnie Woodard.

She went missing Wednesday after her husband, Alfred Woodard, was forced at gunpoint to drive his car to a bank to get money. Police say Alfred Woodard told a teller he was under duress and man who had carjacked him fled.

U.S. Marshals arrested 32-year-old Kristopher Jones in Norfolk on Thursday on warrants for carjacking, abduction, attempted armed robbery.
