ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police say at least one person in a vehicle fired five shots at a police officer who was not injured.

A Police Department spokesman says authorities are conducting a search for two people who were in the vehicle that the officer attempted to stop Saturday morning for a DWI investigation.

Officer Simon Drobik says the officer was not injured.

Drobik says one person inside leaned out and fired three shots toward the officer and his vehicle during the attempted stop.

Drobik says somebody fired then two more shots as the officer pursued the vehicle before it stopped and two people ran into a neighborhood.

Drobik says police want residents to call 911 if there’s supiscious activity on their property in the area near Osuna and Jefferson.
