PHOENIX (AP) - Thousands of people are participating in a Phoenix solidarity march for women and protest against President Donald Trump.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety estimated the crowd size at noon at 20,000 and the state police agency said the Saturday event has been peaceful.

Video showed large numbers of people standing on a lawn next to a legislative building at the Capitol complex as others walked nearby.

The Phoenix event was one of many being held around the country.
