BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore police say they’ve arrested a man who stole a car with two children inside.

Police announced in a statement Friday that 37-year-old Johns Bowling of Dundalk was taken into custody in southeast Baltimore.

Investigators say a woman was unloading her car with two boys, ages 4 and 1, inside on Thursday. When she walked away, leaving the key in the ignition, police say Bowling got in and drove away. The police department issued an Amber Alert, and the children were found unharmed several blocks away.

Bowling is charged with kidnapping, auto theft and reckless endangerment.
