PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a pedestrian who was fatally struck by a car in west Phoenix.

Phoenix police say the 28-year-old Christopher Reclosado died at the scene of the accident early Saturday.

Officers responded to the 7 a.m. collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old man.

Witnesses reported that Reclosado was stumbling in and out of the roadway while walking along 43rd Avenue.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that neither speed nor driver impairment appear to be factors, but their investigation is continuing.

The name of the driver wasn’t immediately released.
