The latest installment of the “Star Wars” franchise officially has a title: “The Last Jedi.”

Lucasfilm announced Episode VIII of the iconic science-fiction film franchise Monday with little more for fans to chew on. The film, which comes out Dec. 15, will be directed by Rian Johnson and star Mark Hamill as Luke Skwalker along with Daisy Ridley as Rey.

“We have the greatest fans in this or any other galaxy,” StarWars.com announced. “In appreciation of the fans, we wanted them to be the first to know the title of the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi.’”

Disney Studios’ “The Force Awakens” opened in late December 2015 and went on to gross more than $2 billion in ticket sales worldwide. “Rogue One,” which takes place in the same universe but serves as a stand-alone tale, came out in December 2016 and has already grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.

Other actors who will appear in “The Last Jedi” include the late Carrie Fisher, along with Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Anthony Daniels, Andy Serkis and Benicio Del Toro.
