WASHINGTON (AP) - Police say a man was shot near Nationals Park in southeast Washington and ran toward the stadium.

The Washington Post reports (https://wapo.st/2kf427d ) that D.C. Police Cmdr. Morgan Kane says the shooting occurred Tuesday morning a few blocks away from the baseball stadium and the victim ran toward the stadium’s center field gate, where people had gathered for a job fair.

Police say the man was shot in the face and shoulder, but was conscious and breathing when he was taken to a hospital. No arrests have been made.

Police don’t believe the shooting is related to the job fair. The Nationals say it has been rescheduled for Jan. 31.
