DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) - The city of Devils Lake’s fire chief says several thousand people are expected to take part this weekend in the fire department’s annual ice fishing tournament on the lake of the same name.
More than 5,000 anglers participated last year, and Fire Chief Jim Moe tells KZZY radio that he expects a similar showing this year.
Moe says more than $275,000 in prizes will be awarded during the tournament, which is in its 33rd year and is one of the largest in the country.
