JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) - One person has died in a fire at a home in Janesville.

Police say firefighters were called to a home on South Main Street around 8 p.m. Sunday. Several people were able to get out of the house, but one person was found dead inside.

WKOW-TV (https://bit.ly/2jI4SLg ) reports fire and police investigators are conducting a joint investigation with the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Red Cross is assisting the family.
