TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A New York City man caught in a New Jersey drug bust has been sentenced to four years in federal prison.

NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/2jxASyz ) that 22-year-old Edwin Alamo Jr. was sentenced on Monday after he pleaded guilty to possessing heroin with the intent to distribute last year.

The Bronx man was one of five men charged in a Drug Enforcement Administration investigation that came to a head on Feb. 5, 2016. DEA agents found Alamo and another man in possession of 48 pounds in a car after they were seen leaving a tractor-trailer near Clifton. Officials also seized 22 pounds of cocaine and fentanyl from the tractor-trailer.

Charges are still pending against two other men involved in the case.
