PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police are treating a man’s death as suspicious after his girlfriend reported finding him shot in the head when she came home to their apartment.
Police aren’t identifying the 37-year-old man found shot about 10 p.m. Tuesday in the city’s Holmesburg section.
Police say they didn’t find a gun or a suicide note so they’re treating the shooting as suspicious and a possible homicide.
Police found no evidence of forced entry, but say the apartment’s door may have been opened.
Chief Inspector Scott Small says at least one room in the home was ransacked, though investigators didn’t specify whether anything was taken. Police have also towed a car from the scene.
