NEW YORK (AP) - Police have arrested the mother of a 1-year-old child who was found dead in her home in Queens.
Police say Shangbo Xiangshengjie was arrested on a murder charge in the death of Sanggye Lhakyi. Information on her lawyer wasn’t immediately available.
Police say the little girl was found Tuesday lying on a bed unconscious and unresponsive inside the family’s apartment in Elmhurst.
The city’s medical examiner says the child died of ligature strangulation.
