TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police say an apparent homicide victim man has been found in his car’s trunk near the U.S.-Mexico border and that a Tucson man is sought in the killing.

Police say the body of 68-year-old Harry Griffin was found Tuesday in Nogales after authorities learned from cellphone data that 24-year-old David Adi-Lopez had called Griffin multiple times before Griffin was last seen.

According to police, blood evidence of what was called “significant trauma” was found in the home of Adi-Lopez’s family even though it had been cleaned.

Police say a warrant charges Adi-Lopez with second-degree murder and auto theft. He’s Hispanic, 5-foot-7, 120 pounds and has short black hair and brown eyes.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine how Griffin died.
