PITTSBURGH (AP) - A former Allegheny County Jail guard has been sentenced to six to 20 months behind bars after admitting he coerced two female inmates into sexual acts.

Joshua Reber, of Upper St. Clair, pleaded guilty two counts of official oppression in October. Both women stated that Reber fondled them in cells and a cleaning supply closet.

Reber was first charged with institutional sexual assault. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (https://bit.ly/2iePuTA) reports that a plea agreement reduced the charges to misdemeanors.

Reber says he made “some very regrettable choices.” The former corrections officer faces lawsuits from both of the victims in the case as well. The suits mention battery and intentional infliction of emotion distress.
