PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a driver who mistakenly drove the wrong way down a one-way Philadelphia street has been shot and wounded by a pedestrian.

WCAU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2i2SGnr ) that a 61-year-old pickup truck driver was traveling the wrong way along a north Philadelphia street and nearly hit a man as he was trying to make a turn. It happened around 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Police say the angry pedestrian pulled out a handgun and fired at the driver, hitting him four times in the right leg. The driver drove himself to a nearby hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Police describe the shooter as a 25-year-old man about 5 feet 11-inches tall. He remains at large.
