DUNDALK, Md. (AP) - A 16-year-old boy fatally stabbed his mother’s 35-year-old live-in boyfriend in Dundalk during an argument.

Baltimore County police say officers responded to the 3300 block of North Point Road just before 7 p.m. on Saturday and found the man lying in the home’s backyard with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as Richard William Zenobia.

Police say Zenobia was arguing with the teen’s mother. The argument escalated and the teen became involved. Police say the teen then took out a knife and stabbed Zenobia several times.

Police say the teen has been charged with manslaughter and is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a denied bail status.

The Associated Press is not identifying the teen because he is a juvenile.
