RENO, Nev. (AP) - Police are searching for a suspect after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident in Reno.

Reno police and fire department personnel responded to an intersection about 2 a.m. Sunday and found an 80-year-old man with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The name of the victim hasn’t been released yet.

Police say evidence on scene indicated that the man was struck by a vehicle that had left the scene after the accident and there are no apparent witnesses.

They say it’s unclear how long the pedestrian was down in the roadway before being located.

Investigators are examining evidence and reviewing surveillance from businesses near the accident scene.

Secret Witness is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a suspect in the case.
