NEW YORK (AP) - Police in New York City are investigating after a man was slashed in the forehead on a subway train traveling through Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

WABC-TV reports the 26-year-old victim was riding a No. 3 train headed northbound when he got into an argument with another rider on Sunday night.

Police say the victim was slashed just before 10 p.m. and he exited the train at the West 72nd Street and Broadway stop. He was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The victim is expected to survive. No one else was injured.

No arrests have been made. The suspect reportedly remained on the train.
