DOVER, Del. (AP) - Many school districts are closed and Delaware officials are urging commuters to be cautious as they head out after a snowy weekend.

The Delaware Department of Transportation warns that melted areas could refreeze and create slippery conditions on Monday. The weather and road conditions closed many school districts.

Officials say crews in Kent and Sussex counties plowed and salted primary and secondary roads by Sunday night. Officials say they will continue to work on subdivisions and expect to finish most of those on Monday.

The National Weather Service reports that snowfall totals varied across the state, ranging from about 3 inches in Wilmington and Newark to 13.5 inches in Ocean View.
