SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Greenville County authorities say a Simpsonville man has been found dead and his wife died later at a hospital from gunshot wounds.
Coroner Parks Evans told local media outlets that 87-year-old Joseph Samuel Hall was found sitting in the couple’s car in a garage Sunday afternoon.
Eighty-five-year-old Mildred Ann Hall was also found in the car. She died Sunday evening at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Sheriff’s Master Deputy Drew Pinciaro said the couple was found in the car after a family member went to their home to do a welfare check.
Autopsies were scheduled for Monday. The investigation is continuing.
