WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Police are investigating after officers found a man shot on a street in North Carolina who later died from his injuries.

Winston-Salem police Lt. E.R. Montgomery told local media outlets that officers found a man with a gunshot wound late Saturday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

On Sunday, officers identified the man as 31-year-old Terah Dante Howell of Winston-Salem.



Montgomery said no weapon was found at the scene and the death is being investigated as a homicide. No arrests have been reported.
