BAYSIDE PARK, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi man has been arrested on his seventh domestic-related charge since May 2016.

The Sun Herald reports 48-year-old James Arnold Schwartz was arrested on July 4 and charged with simple assault and malicious mischief.

Sheriff’s Investigator Mark Allison says Schwartz had a verbal argument with family members at a Bayside Park residence and was asked to leave. He then kicked open the door, which struck a woman in the face and head, and threw a baseball bat out the front window.

Jail records show a previous bond for an unrelated domestic incident has been revoked.

Schwartz’s seven prior arrests include aggravated assault, simple assault, violation of a protection order and contempt of court, spanning from May 2016 to June 11.

It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
