Woman found fatally stabbed in neck, bludgeoned with hammer

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say a woman was found fatally stabbed in the neck and bludgeoned with a hammer inside a home.

Police were called Wednesday morning to a residence where they found the 57-year-old victim. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene.

Police say the woman had been stabbed four times in the neck and beaten with a hammer.

Police say weapons were recovered at the scene. They don’t yet know who is responsible.
