Coos County District Attorney Paul Frasier said Friday that 27-year-old Jacob Evans of North Bend faces charges of robbery, assault and attempted murder.

The victim, 30-year-old Mark Hendrix, was covered in blood while walking down a street in North Bend Thursday afternoon. He underwent emergency surgery in Portland, but remains in critical condition with a life-threatening brain injury.
