NEW YORK (AP) - A prosecutor says a Queens man has been charged with raping a woman and sexually assaulting a 17-year-old runner in a New York City park.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown announced the arrest of 29-year-old Charles Tobin Saturday.

Brown says Tobin lives in the Flushing section of Queens, where the attacks occurred in Kissena Park. A lawyer for Tobin did not immediately return a message.

The prosecutor says Tobin allegedly held a knife to a 32-year-old woman and demanded money at 11 p.m. Tuesday in the park. Brown says the victim handed over money from her purse before she was raped.

Brown says Tobin allegedly attacked the teenager 24 hours later, demanding a sex act when she said she had no money.

A judge ordered Tobin held without bail.
