CALERA, Ala. (AP) - Police have charged an Alabama man with leaving the scene of a deadly hit-and-run crash.
Al.com reports 47-year-old Luis Aldelmo Guevara was jailed in Shelby County after turning himself in Monday. He was charged in a July 14 highway crash that killed 59-year-old Brian Keith Tatum and injured Tatum’s adult son.
Calera Police Chief Sean Lemley said Tatum and his son were struck while trying to push a motorcycle out of the roadway.
Guevara’s bond was set at $100,000. It was not immediately known if he had an attorney to represent him.
