POLAND, Maine (AP) - A woman is organizing a fundraiser for the funeral of her sister, who police believe was killed and left on the side of a road in Maine.

Susan Shaw says there are at least 12 detectives investigating the death of Sally Shaw and that the family doesn’t have a lot of answers. WLBZ-TV reports (https://on.wlbz2.com/2tYPRGZ ) that the victim was a mother of three children, all less than 40 years old. She had seven grandchildren.

Shaw says her sister is the fifth relative in the family to die in the past three weeks.

The office of the Medical Examiner confirmed that the autopsy of Shaw’s body is complete, but officials are not releasing a cause of death at this time.
