WEST LINN, Ore. (AP) - Fire damaged an Oregon home just days before a large family wedding.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue responded Thursday morning after an out-of-state relative visiting West Linn for the wedding noticed smoke. Everyone escaped without injury and the fire was extinguished.

KPTV reports the wedding is on Saturday and bridesmaids’ dresses were in same room as fire. The dresses made it out, but a bridesmaid said they smelled like smoke.

The bride’s dress was not inside the house.
