CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The threat of flooding rains has returned to West Virginia.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch through Friday evening for most of the state.

The weather service says a series of thunderstorms falling on already saturated ground could produce flooding especially along streams and poor drainage areas.

The watch area excludes portions of extreme southeastern West Virginia and the Potomac Highlands.
