SNELLVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A former Georgia high school band director is accused of sexually assaulting some of his students.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on Thursday that 42-year-old Villie Jones was charged with four counts of sexual assault when he was arrested in May. According to an indictment, he faces 21 counts connected to repeated assaults of four different female students.

Jones has resigned from his job as South Gwinnett High School’s band director.

The indictment says most of the assaults took place at the high school, including in Jones‘ office, a uniform room and a band room. It also says Jones picked up a student from her home and from a gas station before sexually assaulting her in his car.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Jones has an attorney.
