MCCLEARY, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State Patrol has identified the man killed in a high-speed crash near McCleary, Washington.

The Olympian reports (https://bit.ly/2tEroKi ) the crash happened at about 2 p.m. Saturday on State Route 108, east of McCleary.

Thirty-three year old Harley Harmon of McCleary was killed when the speeding pickup truck he was riding in missed a turn and hit a tree.



The state patrol says the driver of the truck, a 25-year-old Salkum man, was taken to a Seattle hospital and a 28-year-old female passenger from Akron, Indiana, was taken to a hospital in Shelton.

Officials say the Salkum man will be arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault once he’s discharged from the hospital.

Investigators believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
