IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say they’ve identified a person of interest in the shooting death of an Iowa City cab driver.
Authorities say 41-year-old Curtis Cortez Jones was taken into custody Friday on a theft warrant from the Keota Police Department and a parole violation. Cortez was wanted for questioning in the death of 46-year-old Ricky Lillie.
Iowa City police say they’re continuing to investigate Jones’ involvement in the case.
Authorities say Lillie was found dead in a taxi cab early Wednesday morning with gunshot wounds to his head.
Online court records did not list an attorney for Jones.
