MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has lifted a ban on security cameras for property owners on a Georgia reservoir.

Officials said in a statement that people with dock permits on Lake Sidney Lanier overwhelmingly backed the change.

According to a count of public comments, only seven people wanted the ban to remain in place compared to 257 who wanted the option of using security cameras on docks.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built the lake in the 1950s and still manages it.
