COVINA, Calif. (AP) - Officials say a driver is in hospital after crashing into a southern California home.

KABC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2vl6kKy ) the male driver crashed through the garage of the Covina home early Monday and caused a small fire. Authorities say a bystander followed the male driver while he was driving erratically and pulled him out of the vehicle.

Authorities say the two adults who were in the home at the time of the crash were not injured.

Red Cross officials believe the home will likely be red tagged after the incident.

Authorities are investigating whether the man was driving under the influence. His condition is unknown.
