Fire near University of Utah destroys home, damages another

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A fire near the University of Utah in Salt Lake City has destroyed one home and heavily damaged a neighboring house.

Salt Lake City Fire Department spokeswoman Audra Sorensen says flames broke out Monday night in a residential neighborhood a few blocks west of campus.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2tNs0y9 ) no one was injured and firefighters were able to spot the flames from reaching a third home.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire to start.
